About us

The stunning Del Istmo Conservation Center with 720 aviaries is located in Puerto Lindo
about twenty minutes by car from Portobelo, Colón (Caribbean Coast of Panama).
We take care of 50 species of mammals and 450 species and subspecies of birds,
140 of which are represented by parrots. 

 

The Conservation Center was founded and built by the admirer of nature,
and the bird world in particular, Jacobo Lacs. The Conservation Center provides
a home to many animals in need of care. We take care of them on a professional basis
and provide everything they need.

The Conservation Center is not normally open and it is necessary to book a tour in advance.
